Qualification of the damage induced by friction using X-ray Diffractometry
Communication sans acte
Date
2014Résumé
In a previous study, the capability of X-ray diffraction technique to qualify damage occurring during friction had been proven [1]. The purpose of this study is to complete this research in order to develop a method to quantify the damage induced by the friction loading.

Communication sans acteLe rodage est un phénomène présent lors des premiers cycles de frottement qui modifie la surface de contact d’une pièce d’un point de vue géométrique, couplé à des modifications de propriétés mécaniques. Le rodage génère ...

Article dans une revue avec comité de lectureEVANS, H-P; SHARIF, K.J; DESVIGNES, Marc; FABRE, Agnès; BARRALLIER, Laurent (Elsevier, 2013)Micropitting is a form of surface fatigue damage that occurs in the gear teeth. It is due to the effect of variation in the mechanical loading in the contact zone between the two teeth, induced especially by flank roughness. ...
