Résumé

The tidal current turbulences and the system parameter drift due to the system wear out can significantly influence the MCT dynamic performance. In this context, various control techniques, suitable to any particular MCT configuration, can be used. In most cases, classical PI or PID control are preferred. In this section, a review of control strategies for tidal energy are presented. These Strategies are mainly inspired from common practices well developed for wind turbine applications.
