Virtual machining Examples of numerical modelling Macroscopic and Mesoscopic scales
Conférence invitée
Date
2015Abstract
Numerical simulation of metal cutting processes is particularly complex due to the diversity of the physical phenomena involved. It is difficult to reproduce all the phenomenon in a single simulation, thus a multi-scale approach is necessary. The presentation focuses on 2 scales : i) the macroscopic scale where dynamic phenomena are handle, ii) the mesoscopic scale where thermomechanical phenomena are handle.
