Résumé

Product-Service System is one way toward sustainable system development. One issue of PSS concerns the function allocation between the product part and the service part. In Architecture-Engineering-Construction,function assignment to either the building or the service offered is also a strong issue. The contracting owner (i.e. paying client) has to deal with this issue during the requirements definition. This paper proposes to tackle it through an adaptation and application of Gero’s Function-Behaviour-Structure design concept to the requirements definition of building systems considered as PSS. The proposed FBS decomposition is illustrated on the example of a kitchen in a retirement home.
