This paper proposes an isomorphism between the number of accessible states of the system including statistical fluctuation and the optimised size of a computer program set-up by combining the Huffman and R.L.E algebrae. At first, a relation between the variation of the free energy in the system and the variation of the programme size used to describe the system was stated. A fluctuation to the equilibrium decreases the size of the programme in relation to the decrease in entropy and the decay of the free energy of the system.

Article dans une revue avec comité de lectureVAN GORP, Adrien; BIGERELLE, Maxence; GRELLIER, Alain; IOST, Alain; NAJJAR, Denis (Elsevier, 2007)This paper proposes a new multi-scale measurement approach performed to compare the surface roughness and the visual aspect of polished surfaces. In this investigation, five specimens of glass moulds presenting different ...

Article dans une revue avec comité de lectureXIA, Yang; BIGERELLE, Maxence; BOUVIER, Salima; IOST, Alain; MAZERAN, Pierre-Emmanuel (Elsevier, 2015)A novel method is developed to improve the accuracy in determining the mechanical properties from nanoindentation curves. The key point of this method is the simultaneous statistical treatment of several loading curves to ...

Article dans une revue avec comité de lectureRUDERMANN, Yann; IOST, Alain; BIGERELLE, Maxence (Elsevier, 2011)The scratching technique has gained interest in recent times because of the numerous inherent properties implied (adherence, hardness, elasticity, visco-elasticity, cohesion, etc.) during tests. Some singular mechanical ...

A generic statistical methodology to predict the maximum pit depth of a localized corrosion process Article dans une revue avec comité de lectureJARRAH, Adil; BIGERELLE, Maxence; GUILLEMOT, Gildas; NAJJAR, Denis; IOST, Alain; NIANGA, Jean-Marie (Elsevier, 2011)This paper outlines a new methodology to predict accurately the maximum pit depth related to a localized corrosion process. It combines two statistical methods: the Generalized Lambda Distribution (GLD), to determine a ...

Article dans une revue avec comité de lectureIOST, Alain; GUILLEMOT, Gildas; RUDERMANN, Yann; BIGERELLE, Maxence (ELSEVIER, 2012)Instrumented indentation is widely used to characterize and compare the mechanical properties of coatings. However, the interpretation of such measurements is not trivial for very thin films because the hardness value ...
