Effect of dry friction on a parametrically excited nonlinear oscillator

2022-07-17Abstract
This study proposes to investigate the effects of dry friction on the behaviour of a parametrically excited nonlinear oscillator using a pendulum as example. A harmonic balance method and time integration simulations are used to respectively compute and validate the solutions of the problem and their stability. The effects of dry friction on the behaviour of the system are discussed.

A nonlinear piezoelectric shunt absorber with 2:1 internal resonance: experimental proof of concept Article dans une revue avec comité de lectureSHAMI, Zein Alabidin; GIRAUD-AUDINE, Christophe; THOMAS, Olivier (IOP Publishing, 2022-01)An experimental proof of concept of a new semi-passive nonlinear piezoelectric shunt absorber, introduced theoretically in a companion article, is presented in this work. This absorber is obtained by connecting, through a ...
