Numerical continuation in nonlinear dynamics with the asymptotic numerical method
Chapitre d'ouvrage scientifique
Date
to appearAbstract
This chapter is dedicated to a particular family of methods for numerical continuation, called the asymptotic numerical method(s) (ANM). As it will be shown, it is based on expanding the solution path into a succession of branches in the form of Taylor series expansion of the path parameter. It is an alternative to the classical predictor-corrector (PC) methods.
