This paper is devoted to the 3D extension of a sharp interface multimaterial method. We present preliminary results for 3D stiff cases of shock air/helium/water interaction and impacts of projectiles on elastic bodies immersed in air.

DE BRAUER, Alexia; IOLLO, Angelo; MILCENT, Thomas (Istituto Nazionale di Alta Matematica, 2015)We propose a simple Cartesian method to simulate the interaction of compressible materials separated by a sharp interface. The model describes fluids, hyper-elastic and perfectly plastic solids in a fully Eulerian frame ...

DE BRAUER, Alexia; GORSSE, Yannick; IOLLO, Angelo; MILCENT, Thomas (2013)We aim to simulate the interactions at the material interface of two compressible media. These interactions are modeled by a single fully Eulerian system of conservation laws. The materials differ by their constitutive ...

GORSSE, Yannick; IOLLO, Angelo; MILCENT, Thomas; TELIB, Haysam (2012)We present a method to capture the evolution of a contact discontinuity separating two different material. A locally non-conservative scheme allows an accurate and stable simulation while the interface is kept sharp. ...

GORSSE, Yannick; IOLLO, Angelo; MILCENT, Thomas (Springer Berlin Heidelberg, 2014)We present multimaterial simulations using both Eulerian and Lagrangian schemes. The methods employed are based on classical Godunov-like methods that are adapted to treat the case of interfaces separating different ...
