Modelling surface tension with smoothed particle hydrodynamics in reactive rotational moulding
TypeArticles dans des revues avec comité de lecture
Reactive Rotational Moulding (RRM) is the best process for producing large hollow plastic parts without weld lines. Constant quality in technical parts requires the process to be mastered by controlling on-line the main physical phenomena. However, the main drawback of RRM is poor control of the process due to the high number of influent parameters. In these conditions, the optimization of the process is quite complex. The aim of this work is to simulate the reactive fluid flow during RRM with Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) solver in two dimensions (2D) and three dimensions (3D) taking into account surface tension force. To implement this force, the interface is tracked explicitly using algorithm developed by Barecasco et al. (2013) and Terissa et al. (2013) and the reconstruction of curve or surface boundary by different interpolation or surface construction technique with Lagrangian interpolation and fitting circle methods in 2D and spherical regression in 3D, respectively.

HAMIDI, A.; KHELLADI, Sofiane; ILLOUL, A.; SHIRINBAYAN, Mohammadali; BAKIR, Farid; TCHARKHTCHI, Abbas (Springer, 2015)During Reactive Rotational Molding (RRM), it is very important to predict the fluid flow in order to obtain the piece with homogeneous shape and high quality. This prediction may be possible by simulation the fluid flow ...

First, the coalescence (first step of sintering) of two ...
Overall Investigation of Poly (Phenylene Sulfide) from Synthesis and Process to Applications—A Review ZUO, Peiyuan; TCHARKHTCHI, Abbas; SHIRINBAYAN, Mohammadali; FITOUSSI, Joseph; BAKIR, Farid (Wiley, 2019)Poly (phenylene sulfide) (PPS) is one kind of high‐performance polymer with high thermal stability that can be used widely in different industrial domains. However, according to an investigation of the literature, few ...
Multi-scale analysis of the effect of loading conditions on monotonic and fatigue behavior of a glass fiber reinforced polyphenylene sulfide (PPS) composite ZUO, Peiyuan; BENEVIDES, R.C.; LARIBI, M.A.; FITOUSSI, Joseph; SHIRINBAYAN, Mohammadali; TCHARKHTCHI, Abbas; BAKIR, Farid (ELSEVIER, 2018)In this paper, two kinds of PPS/GF composite samples (PPS-0°, PPS-90°) were prepared with two different fiber main orientations related to the injection direction. A wide range of their properties were discussed. Using ...
Multiscale physicochemical characterization of a short glass fiber–reinforced polyphenylene sulfide composite under aging and its thermo-oxidative mechanism PEIYUAN, Zuo; TCHARKHTCHI, Abbas; SHIRINBAYAN, Mohammadali; FITOUSSI, Joseph; BAKIR, Farid (John Wiley and Sons Ltd, 2019)In this paper, the thermo-oxidation for a short glass fiber–reinforced polyphenylene sulfide (PPS/GF) composite was experimentally and theoretically studied by a wide range of physicochemical and mechanical techniques. The ...
