Le robot comme interactant est souvent un agent cognitif et biologiquement inspiré par l'homme, conçu pour communiquer. Au-delà des questions classiques concernant la plausibilité des artefacts intelligents, des interrogations subsistent au sujet de la pertinence de ces nouvelles implémentations computationnelles et robotiques dans notre société ; ce sont des questionnements couramment inspirés et enrichis par la littérature sociologique, psycho-ergonomique et philosophique ainsi que par les besoins en cours d'élaboration grâce à nos imaginations et à notre environnement.
