We introduce an Eulerian model for the coupling of a fluid governed by the Navier– Stokes equations, with an immersed interface endowed with full membrane elasticity (i.e., including shear effects). We show numerical evidences of its ability to account for large displacements/shear in a relatively simple way, avoiding some drawbacks of Lagrangian representation.
